Meet Suzanne Port, Reception Manager at Hotel La Tour Birmingham.
Suzanne joined the team in March as we were about to celebrate our first anniversary here in the city.
So, what do you know about the city and the hospitality business Suzanne?
I have worked in hotels for the last seven years and have experience in properties in Birmingham and also the five star The Randolph in Oxford.
What do you like most about Birmingham?
It’s got to be the night life and being in a busy, vibrant city. There is always so much going on and it’s great to be working with a new and exciting company which has ambitious plans for the future.
What has most surprised you about working at Hotel La Tour?
Everyone here is to dedicated to what they do, to ensuring our guests have the best possible experience while they are with us and the level of investment and training everyone here benefits from.
How about your spare time?
I go to the gym, the cinema and enjoy having a few drinks with friends.
What’s playing on your ipod just now?
Er, I don’t have an ipod! I do like music though, most is funky house which no-one will have heard of though!
Favourite TV show?
The American comedy “How I met your mother”.
I like traditional, home-cooked meals and my favourite would be a Sunday roast. There’s a mean one here at Aalto Restaurant where my favourite dish is the buttermilk panna cotta.
