Joanne Hession is our Conference and Events Supervisor. She has been at Hotel La Tour Birmingham since May 2012 and previous worked at our brasserie restaurant, Aalto.
What attracted you to the role? I liked the building and the interiors – particularly the signature pink! I used to catch the bus across the road and I said to myself that one day I would work here.
What do you most like about working in the city? It’s home.
And the best things about working at La Tour? For me, it’s like being in a family – yes, ok there are ups and downs just like being in a family but thankfully mostly ups!
What do you do in your spare time: I enjoy the cinema.
Favourite dish on the menu at Aalto Restaurant: Definitely this pork belly and scallops with apple puree.
