Who knew bandages could be so stylish! When the team at Harvey Nichols was asked to take part in the Big Bandage Day launch at Hotel La Tour, there was plenty of head scratching over how we could support Birmingham Children’s Hospital in our usual stylish way.

There was only one place to take our inspiration from – the Hervé Léger bandage dress. As one of fashion’s most iconic pieces, this signature dress has become a world-wide style saviour. It first hit the catwalk in the late 1980s and has since been spotted on the most famous fashionistas from Victoria Beckham to Cindy Crawford.

Flattering, beautifully cut and effortlessly sexy, this legendary body con dress uses Leger’s trademark fabric – silk woven with Lycra and Elastene to perfectly mould and shape to a women’s figure ensuring a tight, structured fit.

We decided it would fun to have a go at creating our very own collection of bandage dresses – and rather than using woven silk we used actual bandages. We hope you’ll agree that the team did an amazing job!
