Saddle up and meet author Jo Carnegie at Café Ezra

She’s been described as Jilly Cooper’s heir apparent and she’s proving that the lure of the stable block is as strong as ever.

Novelist Jo Carnegie will be reading from her new novel Horse Play at a special event coming up at Café Ezra.

We’re delighted to host Jo and learn about the latest instalment in her Churchminster chronicles where we meet stable girl Kizzy Milton, whose pretty curves have made “grown men fall to their knees.”

You get the picture! We’re looking forward to a fun-filled frolic. Come along and meet Jo and ask her about her deliciously wicked writing style.

Jo certainly has some great stories to tell: in a previous life she was deputy editor of Heat magazine where she interviewed George Clooney, Cheryl Cole, Will Smith and Posh’n’Becks.

Horse Play is the fifth novel in the Churchminster series and has been described by Heat as “funny, saucy escapism that we’re calling the new SATC (Sex and the Countryside.)”

You’ll be able to purchase copies of the book and get them signed by Jo on Thursday October 25 at 6pm. There’s a £5 charge which will include a glass of wine/soft drink on arrival.
