Mothering Sunday: March 30

We love a special occasion at La Tour.

This Mothering Sunday why not let us help you celebrate your mum and all she does (and let someone else do the cooking!)

Mother’s Day coincides with the start of British summer time so we’ll have our fingers crossed for some sunshine but, whatever the weather, you’ll enjoy a warm welcome and a relaxing and indulgent occasion at Aalto Restaurant and Alvar Bar.

Head chef Dan Pearce and his team will be preparing a traditional roast dinner and we’ll be serving this from 12.30pm through to 9pm so hopefully plenty of scope to fit in with your family’s plans. Mothering Sunday roast is £25 per person including coffee, and £10 for two courses for the Under 12s.

If an elegant afternoon tea is more your thing, pastry chef Rachel Dorrell has devised a menu to delight. Including an assortment of sandwiches, our signature Welsh rarebit dip, freshly-baked scones with clotted cream and home-made preserves, plus a selection of sweet treats, afternoon tea is served from 2pm at Alvar Bar. We have live entertainment too, adding a little extra gloss to your outing.

Afternoon tea with a glass of pink Champagne and leaf tea or freshly-brewed coffee is £29.45 per person, (£19.95 without Champagne). We have a special bite-sized afternoon tea for children (Under 12s). Your little ones will enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, scone with jam and cream, cakes and hot chocolate or soft drink of your child’s choice.  Special Mother’s Day price, £10 per child.
