Final preparations are underway for the Relish Midlands cookbook launch at Hotel La Tour on Monday. Chef Alex Penhaligon and his team are making their final decisions on what to serve at the Champagne reception.

The new hardback book offers the unique flavours of the regional through 75 signature dishes from the area’s best chefs. Each recipe is beautifully illustrated, has background information about the chef and venues and comes with wine recommendations. There’s also an extensive “Relish Larder” to help home cooks source the best ingredients.

The book carries an introduction by the acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurateur and Chef Andreas Antona and includes an entry from his restaurant, Simpsons. Hotel La Tour’s Aalto Restaurant featured recipes are Harrogate loaf, Cornish sea bass with creamed leek, mussels and grain mustard, and Jaffa cake pudding.
