La Tour De Force get ready to row for Harry

logo[1]The clock is ticking away, not long to go now until The Brindleyplace Dragonboat Festival and La Tour De Force, our crack team of sportsmen and women, are ready for the challenge.They’ll be competing in this year’s event, on Saturday 22 June, supporting  HelpHarryHelpOthers.  Sponsored by Deutsche Bank, the Dragonboat Festival is considered by many to be THE competition for businesses across the city so, naturally, our team have been training hard.Some 22 teams will battle it out in a series of  races along the canal from Pitcher and Piano, in Brindleyplace, up to the winning post at the NIA.La Tour De Force are lead by Operations Manager Matt Kinnes. Under his direction will be: Adrian Colman, Gary Stevenson, Leah Williams (operations), Chefs Dan Pearce and Brian Wareing, Phil Lye (kitchen), Nick Robinson (restaurant and bar), Andy Hamilton (bar), Tom Latham (conference), Andre Edwards and Bobby Phoenix (housekeeping), Marc Matta (reception), Sian Brunt (human resources) and Charlie Wilson (maintenance).So, a strong team from across all departments at Hotel La Tour Birmingham – come along on the day to cheer us on and look out for regular updates on how training is going.Captain Matt said: “We’re very proud to be representing Hotel La Tour and supporting this great cause. As part of our training, we’ve been learning about Harry and his inspirational story plus how money raised by his charity is being used. It’s a real motivator and we’re determined to row as hard as we can and to raise as much cash as we can.”
