Afternoon tea gets a seasonal makeover

 

There’s nothing quite like afternoon tea: an exquisitely stylish and quintessentially British occasion. Sumptuous savouries (including dainty sandwiches, no crusts of course) our signature Welsh rarebit dip, freshly-baked scones with homemade preserve and clotted cream, plus a delightful selection of sweet treats.

All served on an elegant silver stand in chic surroundings and accompanied with delicate blends of fragrant tea, a thirst-quenching range of iced fruit teas and aromatic coffee. Or why not celebrate with The Little Prince, our new cocktail launched to mark the birth of Prince George?

Aalto Restaurant Pastry Chef Rachel Dorrell is proudly presenting a new edition of High Tea at La Tour for summer 2013. No need to panic, your favourites are still here but she’s adding some new twists on this most classic of occasions.

Her new tray of sweet treats features blackberry and chocolate jammy dodgers, vanilla panna cotta with strawberries and cucumber – surely the taste of summer itself? – lemon cake with zesty butter icing and a delightlfully and delicately pink strawberry macaroon.
