The Auden Rooms shortlisted for prestigious conference venue award

THE AUDEN ROOMS SHORTLISTED FOR CONFERENCE AWARD

The Auden Rooms at Hotel La Tour Birmingham has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award. The new corporate events facility has been named in the Best New/Refurbished venue category in the Conference Venue & Suppliers Awards 2013. The winners will be announced at a lunch hosted by comedian Jo Brand in London in June.

Jane Schofield, MD of Hotel La Tour said: “We’re obviously thrilled to receive this recognition and it’s great for the team who have worked so hard to establish The Auden Rooms as one of the best venues in the area.”

The Auden Rooms offers a range of stylish and flexible meeting spaces, teamed with cutting edge technology. It is a dedicated events space extending across the entire second floor of Hotel La Tour in Albert Street, and provides a dedicated environment for meetings, conferences, training and other corporate events.

The  174-bedroom hotel, which has just celebrated its first birthday, has been designed, built and is operated by the former management team of award-winning Hayley Conference Centres, bringing a wealth of expertise about the conference market.

Jane Schofield added: “Designing The Auden Rooms from the ground up has allowed us to provide specialist facilities built with today’s market in mind. We’ve responded to calls to provide dedicated meeting spaces and recruited a customer-focused team to ensure our clients’ events run smoothly and they can see a return on their investment with us.”

The Auden Rooms is accessed by a private staircase and lift, and event delegates are met by business hosts. A stylish Business Lounge makes a welcoming and comfortable breakout area with refreshments available throughout the day.

Event organisers can choose from a buffet-style conference lunch or dining at Aalto, the hotel’s brasserie-style restaurant which serves classic British dishes with a modern twist.

The largest conference rooms can accommodate up to 140 delegates and The Auden Rooms can be booked for private dining events for up to 140 people. High-spec acoustic walling ensures you won’t be disturbed or overheard, all rooms have natural daylight, HD screens, wireless and wired internet access and touchscreen remote controls for temperature, blinds and lighting. The Auden Rooms also has a roof terrace with stunning views, executive boardrooms and video conferencing facilities for up to four destinations on large HD screens.
