Hotel La Tour Birmingham is delighted to be sponsoring a prestigious Fundraising Gala Dinner which takes place ahead of tonight’s performance of Phantom of the Opera at Birmingham Hippodrome.
Of course, it’s always a wonderful opportunity to take a seat at this great theatre, which is visited by an average of 500,000 people each year, making it the country’s most popular. Some 70% of these visitors come from outside the city, making it an important showcase for Birmingham with an estimated value to the regional economy of £45m.
For us, tonight’s event is more than just a chance to see great theatre, it is setting out with the specific purpose of raising £10,000 to support the important education and access work of the Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre Development Trust. Just one example of the work is experienced by some 5,000 participants each year who take part in events in schools, colleges, libraries and community centres across the city.
Accessibility is a shared passion for Hotel La Tour and the Hippodrome, which aims to ensure as many people as possible enjoy the great shows offered no matter what their disability. An Access Forum works to improve services such as captioned, sign-language interpreted and audio-described performances.
We look forward to playing our part in supporting these valuable services.
