Pastry Chef Rachel Dorrell has taken the colours of season as her inspiration for her new menu for afternoon tea at Hotel La Tour.
This is a special edition menu which is now available and includes a fresh selection of sandwiches, our signature Welsh rarebit and soldiers and, of course, Rachel’s fabulous fresh-baked scones with divine clotted cream and fruit preserve.
Of course, there is always a delicious tray of sweet treats for you to linger over. This autumn, this includes maple syrup and pumpkin tart, passionfruit and mango cheesecake, mulled wine and poached pear trifle plus a chocolate and hazlenut macaroon all served in delighful mini portions.
To drink, may we recommend the Autumn Leaf cocktail – dry gin, amaretto, and lime over crushed ice with pomegranate? Of course, there is also a selection of teas (we are now serving leaf teas in silk pyramids from Twinings and freshly-brewed coffee.
